See more instructions1.Connect the power adapter to the back of your printer and connect the power cord to the adapter. Plug the power cord into a power outlet.
2.Load plain white paper in the front load tray of your computer. Press the "On" button on the printer.
3.Open the cartridge door located above the tray. The print cartridge will then move to the center once the door is opened.
4.Remove the cartridge and remove the tape from the cartridge. Hold the cartridge so that the HP logo is on.
5.Insert the empty ink cartridge into the right slot and insert the tri-color ink cartridge into the left slot. Press each cartridge firmly until it locks into place.
6.Close the cartridge door and the alignment page prints automatically. Take the printed alignment page and place it on the scanner glass.
7.Close the scanner lid and press the "Scan" button on the printer. Wait for the green "On" light on the printer to stop blinking before continuing.
8.Insert the installation CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive. Connect the USB cable to your printer and then to your computer after you see the USB prompt on your computer screen.
9.Click the "Next" button and then click the "I Agree" option from the License Agreement page. Click on the "Next" button.
10.Click the "Browse" button to determine where to save the printer software files and then click the "Next" button. Take time to complete the installation process, then click "Finish" button.
