Canon expands the imagePRESS V series with the launch of the new flagship V1350 and the new V900 series
- Canon today announces two new additions to the imagePRESS V series: the new flagship V1350 and the new V900 series. The latest evolution of the hugely successful imagePRESS family, the V Series sets new standards in productivity. With technology enhancements that take performance to the next level, the easy-to-use V-Series gives graphic arts companies and in-house printers alike the ability to overcome their production challenges while meeting customers' needs for high-quality, dynamic print content that must be produced with very tight deadlines.
The imagePRESS V-Series is an efficient and easy-to-use family of toner-based production printers that offers a high degree of automation, a wide range of finishing options and integration with workflow solutions via PRISMAsync or EFI Fiery controllers. Thanks to the latest additions, there is now an imagePRESS V printer for every commercial and in-house print environment, regardless of size and print needs. The V1350 joins the imagePRESS V1000 mid-range production printer launched earlier this year, offering the highest print speed, productivity and durability in the imagePRESS family, while the V900 light volume production printer offers the most comprehensive range of applications that can be printed with such a compact device. Ruggedly built with sustainability in mind, the series has been engineered to deliver continuous, reliable productivity, consistent high quality and superb front-to-back registration.
imagePRESS V1350 - A new flagshipThe imagePRESS V1350 offers exceptional performance and the highest productivity in its class of toner-based colour production printers. With a speed of up to 135 pages/min, it handles monthly volumes of up to 2.4 million A4 pages and thanks to its robust design, it has a lifetime of up to 72 million A4 pages. The printer's vacuum feed mechanism, flatter paper feed, advanced Print on Demand-Surface Rapid Fusing (POD-SURF) unit and integrated cooling system support long periods of fast, continuous printing at the highest quality without paper jams, so both graphic arts companies and in-house printers can get demanding jobs out the door faster and produce high volumes without having to compromise.
Offset-like quality is a given for the V1350 and is maintained from the first sheet to the last in any job, regardless of run length. The Multi-D.A.T. system corrects colours and automatically maintains colour consistency, even in continuous printing, and the built-in, inline spectrophotometric sensor automates accurate colour adjustments on demand. The V1350 is designed for the production of high-quality print applications such as brochures, leaflets, large mail campaigns and thanks to its advanced registration technologies it offers class-leading front and back registration accuracy (0.5 mm).
imagePRESS V1350 supports the widest range of media weights (60 g/m2 - 500 g/m2) for a colour toner printer and a wide range of media types (including embossed and synthetic media). It is fully compatible with the extensive range of inline finishing equipment from Canon and other technology partners, enabling print providers to offer their customers digital print runs of any size, regardless of finishing requirements.
imagePRESS V900 series - light volume production printer offering greater application flexibility
The entry-level model in the V Series, the imagePRESS V900 Series is ideal for businesses and organisations with a monthly print production of up to 500,000 A4 pages. It is available in three different models - the V900, V800 and V700, with a maximum print speed of 90 pages/min, 80 pages/min and 80 pages/min respectively. and 70 pages/min. - and is designed for production environments where consistency, high quality, productivity and different media are required day in and day out.
The V900 is not only the most compact printer in the family - it can also produce a wide range of applications, thanks to the media it supports: from plain 52 g/m2 and 70 g/m2 coated to heavy 350 g/m2, automatic duplex banners up to 762 mm and single sheet banners up to 1.3 m, as well as embossed and synthetic media. This versatility is supported by the latest vacuum technology that adjusts suction force according to media weight - stabilising the transport of heavy media - as well as feed rollers and robust transport rollers that improve stability when transporting thin, heavy and short media types. These technologies help prevent paper jams and allow a wider range of media to be used.
The V900 incorporates new time- and labour-saving automation features that make it incredibly user-friendly and eliminate the need for a highly trained operator. Using the scanner unit, quick adjustments can be made for front and back registration before printing (delivering impressive accuracy down to 0.8mm). Users simply run the printed alignment sheets through the document feeder and the V900 then automatically makes the necessary adjustments. Other time-saving features on the V900 include remote alerts that notify the operator when supplies are running low.

The imagePRESS V-Series has features to maintain colour consistency in real time, and accessories such as the sensor unit and registration unit provide further automation of quality control tasks.
The new imagePRESS V1350 will be available from the first half of 2023 and the V900 from December 2022 and can be purchased directly from Canon or selected partners
